Some Saturdays are Slow

This is probably the only picture I will ever have of our son mowing the lawn.

My hubby had this crazy idea that this was the year for Dominic to mow the lawn.  Sometimes I wonder what goes through my hubby's head.  The kid has mowed a total of 3 times this year.  Two of those times was with his father.  This here is the only time he has mowed it on his own.  He has jobs mowing other peoples yard, feeding cats and dogs and watering other yards. For some reason he can't manage to do ours. It's not like he doesn't get paid.  I finally got tired of asking when he was going to mow it.  From now on he doesn't get paid, it's his chore! He wasn't too happy but he went out and did it.

Now to change the subject completely. I love farmers market.  The actual market, not the stands selling things I don't need or want . In fact why are they included with the farmers market? They should be in a crafts market or something else. Oh how I wish there were open markets like in NYC, Boston or most other countries or bigger cities. You know like the fish district, meat district, bakery...all in one spot. Yes I know there are grocery stores....its not the same. I have been waiting all year for my favorite market to open for the season.  It did, we all went and extras, said "hi " to all the crazies and they said "hi" back. A fabulous time was had. We stood in line for our favorite tamales, once in our hands gobbled them up.  We always bring extras home....the last bite was eaten at about 2:45 PM Saturday.....
until we get more next Friday!
